# Lodestar

Lodestar is the central hub station in The Lost Systems. It is currently located in what appears to be a gravity well that seems to be located outside of The Lost Systems. Lodestar was a crowning achievement for the organization that constructed it, [The Co-op](https://wiki.trevorsacks.com/books/the-lost-systems/page/the-co-op). It was built as a collaborative defense platform, in order to protect the interests of The Co-op. It has five power cores, all of which are required to power The Drive, and thus requires unanimous consent from all five controlling member states.

It has a GravLock Launcher Rail, that is able to slingshot ships towards their destination systems in a fraction of the time. Since there is only one rail on the station, use is rationed out into time-slots, which are allocated to each of the member states in The Co-op. These slots are often sold or traded, resulting in an underground market for the buying and selling of slots.
